Mobile Pro Systems is proud to announce a significant number of enhancements for our 2020 product line. These features upgrade the power platforms to increase power efficiency, system reliability and ease of use in the field. Here is the first group of new camera trailer features with more to follow in our MPS 2020 Product Redesign series of posts:
Higher Power Capabilities
We have re-engineered all power handling capabilities throughout the trailer. One advancement is we can supply native 24v dc in all areas of the trailers. Particularly in the rack, we have new methods of supplying and controlling power and larger conductors throughout.
Improved Charging Profiles & Power Availability
Bringing our base system to 24v has improved the charging profiles and power availability throughout the system. The system still uses 1,200AH @ 12v dc batteries, but now in a 24v configuration for a total of 15,360-watt hours.
24v/12v for Electronic Components
This new configuration provides up to 30A of 24v power and 30A of clean 12v dc power. We have upgraded several components to operate on the new 24-volt configuration to expand efficiency and reliability of the components like POE Injectors.
Advanced Battery Disconnect Relay
We charge our batteries hard and that has made it difficult to ensure that batteries are fully disconnected when the system runs low. If battery power is allowed to drop too far, it could permanently damage them. Our new relay is now the highest maintained current we could find on the market.
New Control Board Version Using Solid State Relays
To enhance the dependability of our product, we changed most of our mechanical relays to electronic relays that do not consume precious power themselves. These solid-state relays have the ability to shut down if a short is present without damaging anything. Along with this, we have moved to a surface mount technology for most of the ICs. This all makes the product more efficient and reliable.
In 2020, we significantly redesigned the Commander 3400 and Falcon 3100 models to further advance hardware reliability and the user experience. This post is the first in a series introducing our new features. For more information, contact our sales office at 952-324-5645.
